The Gear Designer
"Here is a more polished but still rough view of what the completed site will look like. If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to contact me. Any and all input is welcomed. If you want to take the sample tour of the designer, click on the "Designer your own gear" link. Everything is pre-chosen, so you'll hit "women's" and then just the "keep going" button.
I haven't looked at the website yet, but I'll be sure to let Mike know what I think of it when I tell him that I'm not really one of his trusted friends and family.... I wonder who Bucky is and why he has to be told to take it seriously...
Update: My response to Michael.
"I had to reload the page after going through the design your own gear section because the "X" box didn't work. As long as that is fixed when the page goes "live" it should be great.
Also, you might want to check Erin's e-mail address. I am probably not the one you meant to send this to.
Erin"
From the Bank....
"Dear Erin,
Congratulations. Your new BBVA Compass "Compass Basic Savings" account is ready to be opened. Within three business days, the account will be opened and funded. If you requested checks or a check card, you should receive these in 5 to 7 business days.
If you wish to discuss this further with a Customer Service Representative, please send an email to applyonline@bbvacompass.com or call 1-877-737-7727. Please reference your applicant ID # when you contact us.
Thank you for choosing BBVA Compass for your financial needs."
I do happen to use BBVA Compass myself. I did not, however, open a new account. So, either this is an attempt to get me to reveal personal information about myself for identity theft purposes OR, once again, I've been mistaken for someone else. I'll let you know what happens with this one.

Bachelorette Party T-Shirts

This came in last night (5/25/11) and it included a proof of the t-shirts.
"Hey,
I am trying to see if I can do this design to send to have transfers done. I'm wondering if you could look at it and tell me if it looks right. It will be going on a pink v t-shirt with white stripes on the sleeves. I have it placed on a 9" x 12.75" page. So each design would be 9" x 6 1/4". It's about the same size as the design we used for your bachelorette t-shirts. Trying to see if the lettering is sized right. I also was trying to make the ring band a different color. Let me know what you think or what I might have wrong. Try to learn how to work this program.
Thanks,
Paula
Let me know what you think."
My friend Karenna thinks that I should start replying with my own thoughts... And, I have done this once before... when I was e-mailed about what to get "Mom" for her birthday... I suggested a pony before letting them know they had "the wrong Erin."
Some other recent wedding related e-mails have included a reply-all about a bachelorette/bachelor party in the DC-area and a series of pictures sent via cell phone of a girl in wedding dresses. I am sometimes tempted to let these people know what I think and maybe this is something to explore in further posts.
What do you think?
E-Mail Address
As of late, I've been getting a lot of wedding/bachelorette/baby e-mails which has been weird as I recently got engaged and my wedding is in October.
Most of the time I reply to the messages with responses to the effect of: "You haven't got the right Erin Thomas." Only once have I received a weird message back... It was from a woman who was trying to confirm a Mary Kay order with her sales rep.
So, this will be my journal of "The Wrong Erin Thomas." I hope you enjoy it.
